What Is Ju Jutsu?

The Gentle Art of Self-Defence

Ju Jutsu, meaning "the gentle art," is one of the oldest and most comprehensive forms of Japanese martial arts.

Developed by the Samurai warriors of feudal Japan, Ju Jutsu was designed to enable unarmed combat against armed and armoured opponents. Unlike striking-based arts, Ju Jutsu focuses on using an attacker's force against them through throws, joint locks, and immobilization techniques.

At Jan De Jong Martial Arts, we teach a comprehensive curriculum that includes self-defence applications, traditional techniques, and modern practical scenarios. Our system is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
